  Had the sharing platter from the menu. The hot wings were very spicy - nice to have "hot" on a menu and find it to be accurate!! Service was friendly and overall atmosphere was very welcoming

  Beware of the manager, he is a thief.
  
  Shall I review the fish and chips or the burgers or the selection of ales?
  I would love to do so, I would love to write a review on the food or on the service but I simply can’t because no matter how good the food is in a restaurant, when you go out for dinner with friends and you have your money stolen everything else moves to the background.
  
  We had dinner in this pub with some friends last April 2016. We paid our dinner with our card.
  Around 1 week later, checking our bank account, we realized that there was an E-Commerce transaction done by “hosp. management” in Abingdon. After a quick research we realized it was Paul, the Manager of the pub who took this money from our card without any kind of permission.
  We immediately got in touch with him and asked for an explanation, he asked us to call him and on the phone he gave confused explanations saying that just by chance 1 week later at the pub another client had a card with a similar number ???? He said he would have reimbursed the amount at the earliest. Almost 5 months have passed now and after leaving several messages, innumerable excuses and creative lies, he still did not give us our money back.
  We have friends living in Abingdon, he promised he would give the money to them directly, my friend went there and was told by a waitress that he should have produced some kind of documents to get the money (???), a waste of money for us and also a waste of time for our friends.
  
  In the end we are talking about a ridiculous small amount of money (less than 15 pounds), however cloning a card is certainly not acceptable and to be taken very seriously. The worse part of everything is the disrespectful behavior and the continuous lying attitude of Mr. Paul.
  
  Definitely NOT WORTH a visit!
